Tremendous response to Dubai Healthcare City at the Arab Health Exhibition 2004

Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) completed a successful presence at the Arab Health Exhibition 2004 (January 18-21) and received tremendous response from healthcare professionals and leading institutions from all over the world.
Adel Saeed Al Shamsi, CEO of Dubai Healthcare City said, "We are encouraged by the response to the Dubai Healthcare City at the Arab Health Exhibition. Leading international healthcare institutions have approached DHCC for participation, ranging from offering medical services and education to establishing a regional referral office."
"DHCC's participation at Arab Health 2004 was aimed to create further awareness in the healthcare industry, liase with potential partners and attract institutions that want to establish a presence at DHCC. " Al Shamsi added.
DHCC had a large presence at Arab Health 2004 with representatives at the stand to provide detailed information about DHCC and discuss potential partnerships. CEOs and Managing Directors of leading global health institutions visited the DHCC stand and significant number of representatives from countries such as UK, Germany, KSA, Kuwait and Qatar expressed their interest in investing.
Over fifteen thousand people visited the stand and were given information on the concept and status of the project. The partners of DHCC were pleased by the interest of the people in the educational perspective of DHCC with a lot of enquiries made about the Harvard educational collaboration. The visitors were also informed about the upcoming Med - Health Exhibition that will be held in Dubai from 17-19 April, 2004 that will offer a platform for regional healthcare providers to collaborate.
Dubai Healthcare City was the lead sponsor of Arab Health 2004, which is the largest healthcare exhibition and conference in the Middle East and attracts decision makers from around the world in the healthcare industry.
Dubai Healthcare City was launched in November 2002, by the directives of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence. Dubai Healthcare City, a strategic initiative by the Dubai Development and Investment Authority aims at transforming Dubai into a regional hub and gateway for specialized healthcare, and a center for medical education and research.
