Business Conference hosts Government officials, presidents & financial institutions

A number of business personalities will participate in the economic conference to be held on 22nd February under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and organized by Zayed University and Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Dr. Hanif Hassan, Vice President of Zayed University, said: "The conference adopts the theme -Building a Dynamic New Prosperity in the Gulf Region Through Global Cooperation: Opportunities & Challenges-hosts a number of Arab and International Businessmen such as: Dr. Ali Lutfi, Egyptian Former Prime Minister, and Business Professor who held several academic and official positions during his life time. Dr. Lutfi was the Finance Minister of Egypt then the Prime Minister as well as a Professor in International Universities for a long time. His session of the first day will stress on "The Impact of Recent Political Events on Regional Economic Development". Mike Moore, Former Director-General, World Trade Organization (WTO), will give a session on "The Global Effect of a Changing World Economy on Investments and Business Growth". Moore is currently the Special Trade Envoy of the Government of New Zealand, and worked as the Director-General of the WTO from 1999 till 2000. In a long and distinguished career in politics, Moore held numerous trade-related portfolios and served in a number of senior political positions. He is the former Prime Minister of New Zealand".

The steering committee from both Zayed University and Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, holds weekly meetings to discuss the latest achievements of the conference as they are followed up by His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, President of Zayed University, who gave his instructions to provide all the appropriate and required facilities as well as transfer this important event into an international business conference being held annually in Abu Dhabi. Organizing such an important conference with Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry proves the university's commitment towards social and economic sectors through attracting and choosing international keynote speakers who are known for their enhancement and participation in economic and social fields. Such scholars and experts obtained international awards in different conferences, lectures, and forums", Dr. Hanif concluded.

Mohamed Omar Abdullah, Director General, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, assured the importance of hosting this conference especially in this period of time where changes have occurred locally, regionally, and internationally.
