Iranian Pavilion officially opened

HE Ali Ridha Sallari, Ambassador for Iran in the UAE opened the Iranian Pavilion in the Global Village in Dubai Festival City.
As the officials walked into the 1800 sq metres pavilion, it was reverberating with the sounds of traditional instruments from the performance put together by an Iranian Folkloric Group.
Abdul Rahim said, "Iran is participating for the ninth time this year in the Global Village, having received the Best Pavilion Award in the year 2001. The pavilion has seen several enhancements this year. Not only the area dedicated to the pavilion has been increased, the allocation of the stage area and the store area is 1000 sq metres and 800 square metres respectively. The participating stores are showcasing a variety of Iranian delicacies, locally produced honey, saffron in addition to paintings, artefacts, clothes, gemstones, natural rose perfume, home furnishings, pot pourri indigenously produced carpets etc."
Traditional home decoration products are also available. The pavilion hosts Iranian Restaurants such as those selling Iranian delicacies, such as tea, falooda, Iranian Ice-Cream etc.
The Pavilion also has a replica of the Khaju bridge which dates back to the rule of Shah Abbas 200 years ago at the Esfahan city.
The Pavilion also a has a special area dedicated to the Iranian hospital where special treatment cards are being distributed. These cards entitle the holder to a 50% discount throughout the year at the Iranian Hospital.
The Pavilion also has a stall for the Iranian radio which transmits a special program from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Persian, Arabic and English language detailing the products available at the Pavilion.
