BMA Governor to open MEED Asset Management Conference

HE Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Governor of the Bahrain Monetary Agency (BMA), will open the 3rd MEED Asset Management Conference, which is being held in Bahrain on 27th and 28th January.

Shaikh Ahmed will present the opening keynote address at the event, which will commence at 9am at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

The theme of the conference is 'Achieving maximum returns and highlighting global potential'.

This conference gathers an international array of speakers from major asset management companies including Deutsche Asset Management, JP Morgan Fleming Asset, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, State Street Bank & Trust, HSBC Asset Management, Merill Lynch Investment Managers.

Deutsche Asset Management Chief Economist, Steven Bell, returning from last year to deliver a keynote address, which will focus on the global market outlook.

While JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management, Managing Director and Global Strategist Gary Dugan will address a review on the global equities market: opportunities and potential.

There will be two panel discussions on the second day, one focusing on identifying the benefits of investing in hedge funds, and the other will discuss the advantages of investing in real estate.
