A New Identity for Bank Al Jazira

As part of Bank Al Jazira's ongoing plans to further develop its business presence in the Saudi banking sector, its New Identity was unveiled at a press conference that was held at Le Merdien Hotel in Jeddah.
During the press conference Mr. Al Meshari expressed his extreme satisfaction with the great strides taken by the bank during the past few years. The healthy profits achieved during the past five years by the bank further illustrate the banks solid accomplishments thus far. He further stated, "On this auspicious occasion, we would like to reinforce Bank Al Jazira's keen desire to further improve its services and to upgrade its branches." He went on to say; "we are in the process of unveiling the banks new identity, which comes as part of a carefully studied plan that seeks to achieve exemplary service and to satisfy the needs of our customers. These needs are constantly being monitored so as to be able to meet their expectations".
Thereafter Mr. Hisham Ahmed Abul-Ola spoke about the various development phases that the bank went through and its most notable achievements, which, culminated in its launch of financial products and services that are Sharia compliant. He further said, "The banks activities include offering all banking services for business both on the local and international levels, in addition to, Sharia compliant products and services. Moreover, Bank Al Jazira offers services in financial advice, investment, the management of capital, and stock trading in local and international markets". Corporate financing was also elaborated upon, that are administered through innovative financial services that are Sharia compliant. These being the cornerstone of the banks thrust in that area.
The new identity and its different elements represent Bank Al Jazira's future vision and message to the banks target market was further emphasized during the press conference with the importance of how each element represents an integral part of the banks philosophy. During the slide show, which outlined the banks new image, the Arabian Peninsula, the cradle of Islam, which forms the basis of the new logo, and thus the banks reason to assume it as part of its identity and strategy in offering new Sharia compliant services. The white color, which signifies purity and transparency, came as a natural element to the new identity, to signal the means by which the bank will conduct its affairs both internally and externally. The blue color represents the banks continued commitment to forging new ties to the outside world, and the square shape represents the firm foundation upon which the bank aims to pursue its services to its clientele.
