Participants are enthusiastic that their efforts of making their products available to shoppers at marked down prices is reaping benefits to them in terms of volumes.

Mr. Manoj Asrani, a member of the Senior Management of the Al Maya Lal's Group, said, 'We have already seen that our outlet in the Night Souq is doing better than last year. Our range of products here are marked down by 30%, representing good savings to the shopper on quality products. The number of visitors itself is higher than last year, and we would have no doubt about confirming our participation in Night Souq of years to come. This is the second time we are participating, and we have introduced our home collection items this year.'

On behalf of Edu-Kids, Mr. Ayman Abdul Fattah Barakat, Propreitor, said, 'Although we are not running any special promotions, we are selling all goods at factory prices. We have seen a lot of visitors, especially families with children, as our products cater to children of every age. We specialize in children's play areas, books and educational toys. This is the first time we are participating in the Night Souq and we are eagerly looking forward to great results. The organization that we have seen in this attraction has been very good, and we will be looking at coming back next year too.'

Sun & Sand Sports is another first-time participant, and their Marketing Manager, Mr. Zeekay , said, 'Apart from being a Support Sponsor of DSF 2004, we also decided to have a presence at the Night Souq. We have always stood by all Government efforts to enhance tourism to the country, and our participation here has been a great learning experience. We have unveiled what we call a 'Profit-free Zone', modeled on the lines of a clearance outlet. We are seeing an increase in the number of visitors and shoppers on a daily basis, and we are sure that we will be having an outlet at the Night Souq during DSF 2005 also.'

Mr. Dilip Kumar Ramchand is the Sales and Marketing Manager of ABC International, a Support Sponsor of DSF 2004. 'We always support the fine initiatives of Dubai Shopping Festival, and we are glad that our position as Support Sponsors got us some added benefits at the Night Souq. The high traffic of visitors is really encouraging and this has translated into higher sales for us. Our range of products, cosmetics and skin care, are discounted, and customers can expect to save between 15% and 30% of the market price.'
