The Galleria Entrance, Palm Boulevard Entrance, Gold Souk Entrance and Carnival Walk Entrance each provide direct access to mall and feature beautifully crafted designs, lattice works and gold domes for a memorable shopping experience.
Commenting on the four impressive entrances, Ibrahim Al Hashimi Executive Director of EMAAR Properties Retail and Leasing Department, said: 'Just as EMAAR made provision with centralised carpark locations which minimise walking distances to the mall's shopping zones, we have also designed drop-off zones at four entrances on The Grand Drive which provide direct access to the mall. With the size of the mall a major factor we are ensuring our shoppers are given the utmost convenience when accessing the mall.'
Approaching the site from Doha Road, shoppers and visitors will have a fantastic view of the Mall, with its intricate Islamic motifs forming screens along the edge of the mall. The Grand Drive, situated between the Mall and magnificent Water Terraces, will then lead to four beautifully designed access points to the Mall.
The first entrance of The Grand Drive, is the Galleria Entrance - an oval events and activities space that marks the media and IT retail corner of the Mall. Stunning lighted displays and running LED text displays along the surface of the events area will create a futuristic and high-tech look.
Palm Boulevard, the second entrance, stands amongst an oasis of trees. Visitors will be greeted by swaying palm trees lining the entrance bridge to the Mall. This entrance will lead to the heart of the mall, the three-storey aquarium and the Waterfront Promenade at the other end of the Mall.
The next entrance will lead the visitors directly to the Gold Souq and its many gold shops which are set in a truly authentic old market setting. An entrance pavilion with ethnic lattice works and a gold dome over it, rests on a reflective pool at the entrance. To enter the Mall, visitors will walk through this pavilion where they will be surrounded by 'old town' imagery, which is the central theme in the Gold Souq.
The furthest entrance is the Carnival Walk Entrance. With abundant festival colours this red 'box' projects over part of the Grand Drive and will house one of the anchor tenants of the Mall. Providing a prominent space for the tenant, it is a marker for the last main entrance along the Grand Drive of the Mall. This entrance leads visitors to the activity and entertainment areas of the Mall completing the whole shopping experience.
The landscaping of the entire mall is inter-woven into both the interior and exterior of the mall including the Grand Drive, carparks on the edges of the mall and the Waterfront Promenade.
The Dubai Mall is an integral part of the Burj Dubai project and will provide spectacular views of the world's tallest tower and the surrounding skyline.
