Geoff Gladstone, Club Car General Manager, Hydroturf International, the Middle East representative of Club Car told us "The Pathway has been developed by General Motors (GM) and Club Car in response to a US law which requires an ongoing commitment to research and development of environmentally friendly vehicles".
He went on "The Pathway is a 'Neighbourhood Electric Vehicle' which is an ideal vehicle for villa owners to move around in the Gated Communities, the private residential complexes so popular in the Middle East.
The Pathway is fitted out with seat belts, headlights, reflectors, windscreen wipers, mirrors and a space for licence plates to be fitted as it is legal for road use in the USA. The vehicle will reach up to speeds of 40kms per hour.
Dubai Police have recently stated that all such vehicles sharing road use with standard road vehicles for example, in hotel grounds, must be legally licenced. This makes The Pathway the only vehicle in its category in the UAE to legally comply with this new regulation.
The model is available in 2 and 4 seater versions.
