GAC Dubai appoints new Managing Director

GAC Group (GAC), the world's largest independent shipping and logistics services provider, has appointed a new Managing Director to head its operations in Dubai.
An industry veteran from Sweden with over 27 years in the business, Dan was the Managing Director of GAC Saudi Arabia prior to his posting to Dubai. He brings in-depth international experience to his new role having worked in the transportation industry in Sweden as well as having spent six years in the region. His experience includes hands-on leadership of business departments and teams. As the Managing Director of GAC Dubai, Dan oversees all three core business areas in shipping, marine and logistics, as well as finance, information technology, quality and technical operations.
In addition to appointing a new team head, GAC has been implementing its Vision X - Global Reach business strategy in the first part of 2004. Moves have included the expansion of the Scandinavian network to Norway and the setting up of a logistics centre at Dubai Airport Free Zone.
