'Exhibitors representing industries in the areas of broadcasting, production and communications as well as other aspects of the industry are in Dubai to explore new business opportunities and are showcasing a wide array of new industry-specific technologies,' said DWTC Director General, Mubarak bin Fahad.
CABSAT has evoked an enthusiastic response from international exhibitors this year and companies representing leading cable, satellite, broadcast and communications fields are participating at the event from more than 27 countries around the world.
'Dubai's status as the E-gateway to the entire Middle East region and its strageic position at the crossroads of a potential market of over 2 billion consumers, coupled with the development of Dubai's technology, E-commerce and media industry has provided increased momentum to our exhibition,' remarked Mr. bin Fahad.
A 20-strong delegation from India is in Dubai to network with delegates at CABSAT and represents decision-makers from leading cable and broadcast companies from the subcontinent who seek business partners and investment opportunities in the region.
The delegates included Sunil Grover, CEO of Analog Systems, Rajeev Rishi, Managing Partner of Space Net, Jitender Singh Bir, CEO of WIG, Shailendra Chopra, CATV Hardware Distributor and Managing Partner of NIG Galaxy, Manoj Gupta, Partner of Mukand Udyog - Manufacturers of co-axial cable/RF cables, Manmeet Sethi of Bright Electronics and A.K. Rastogi of Aavishkar Communications and Publications.
DWTC General Manager Exhibitions, Leasing and Operations, Abdulla T. Qassem briefed the delegates about CABSAT and about the potential opportunities of conducting business in and through Dubai.
The delegates were keen to capitalise on the growth in the technology and media industry in the region, and the range of new business opportunities in the broadcast, communications and media technology fields.
CABSAT is the pre-eminent show in the region for companies seeking to gain a firm footing in the region's fast emerging cable, satellite and communications sectors which forms the core profile of the event.
Trade visitors from GCC & region meet at CABSAT
Organisers Dubai World Trade Centre announced that the 10th edition of the Middle East International Cable, Satellite, Broadcast and Communications Exhibition (CABSAT - 8th to 10th February) has received a constant flow of visitors through the first two days of the show, with pre-registered trade visitors from the GCC and the Middle East region gathering to meet up with principals, suppliers and distributors at the event.
