'Global Finance' names NBK the 'Best Foreign Exchange Bank in Kuwait and the Middle East' for 2004

Global Finance, the leading magazine in the world of finance, has awarded National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) the 'Best Foreign Exchange Bank in Kuwait and the Middle East for 2004'.
Mr. Salah Al Fulaij, Deputy GM and Treasurer at NBK said that wining the awards reassures the leading role that NBK plays as market maker for the Kuwaiti Dinar both domestically and internationally.
Global Finance attributes this achievement to NBK's wide range of treasury, asset and liquidity management services that are available to its customers in a competitive prices, transaction volume, market share, scope of global coverage and customers services.
Other banks winning the title are Citigroup in North America region, BNP Paribas and UBS in Europe, Chartered Bank in Africa and HSBC in Asia.
NBK has recently reported a net profit of USD 412 million for 2003. NBK has long been distinguished by having the highest credit rating given to any Bank in the region by international rating agencies including Moody's, FitchRating, S&P and Capital Intelligence.
