Jacques Chammas, MD Mindware says, "The Arab governments in the region are very actively involved in the process of technological advancement. However, due to various factors, the levels of technological sophistication and growth across the region varies, so we have countries who are up to date with the latest in cutting edge IT technology on the one hand, while there are others who are still grasping the fundamentals of IT on the other. The common factor that runs right through is the dedication to catch up with the IT revolution, in order to ensure a secure and progressive future for the Arab world".

Chammas adds, "Our commitment to the belief that the region needs to be kept abreast of the latest developments and advances in IT, along with our commitment to adding value to our resellers, is the reason Mindware organized Citrix iForum Middle East 2004. We are certain it has proved immensely beneficial to the participants, and raised the regional industry standards as well. The most significant outcome was that this was a forum where our clients - the resellers, along with their clients, could participate in an experience which provided them with such exhaustive information about the solutions available. This will prove invaluable to the resellers in getting in-depth feedback from their customers, and getting concrete input on what their requirements are".

Strategic partnerships enable Mindware to bring effective solutions to the market, and reinforce its position as an VAD (Value Added Distributor). Mindware's extensive portfolio includes leading global brands such as Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, Intel, Citrix Systems, VERITAS, Network Associates, ADIC, EMC, Crystal Decisions, Novell NetApps and SMC. Reaching out to over 4,500 resellers in 10 countries in the Middle East and 37 in North Africa, Mindware's commitment to customers is unrivalled.
Being the only IT Company with a logistics centre within the Airport Cargo Village, they offer value added distribution to all the channels they serve.

"Citrix iForum Middle East 2004 was attended by those who wanted to improve the way their organization provides access to information", says Chamas. "With an attendance of 1000 IT professionals and 17 leading technology partners, Citrix iForum 2004 was a premier event which showcased innovative solutions that help solve the dilemma of remote and mobile information access in today's fast-paced, global business environment".

Chammas adds, "IT professionals learnt how to improve workplace access to information, delivering a critical competitive advantage. The On-Demand Enterprise has two key competitive advantages over its rivals: increased information access for all employees and reduced IT costs".

The Citrix iForum Dubai 2004 conference took place at the Emirates Towers Hotel, Dubai on the 27th and 28th January 2004, and was keynoted by Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Internet City, along with speakers from leading global technology companies, analysts and Middle East end user organizations.

iForum, a global Citrix event, is currently in its second year in the Middle East. The two-day conference included case studies, round table discussions and briefings. Mindware, the sole Citrix Distributor in the region, has offices in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, with over 100 installations and a highly qualified Citrix-certified technical team.
