Abu Dhabi Tourist Club invests 1 million/year Dirhams in its expansion plan

As per the Executive Council's guidance, The Abu Dhabi Tourist Club (Managed by the Abu Dhabi National Hotels) upon the approval of the Tourist club committee (Finance Department, Abu Dhabi), embarked, for the last four years, on an approx 1 million Dirhams (per year) extensive renovation & development plan offering outstanding and luxurious services positioning it a leading social and leisure spot in the Emirates.

"We are growing and elevating our services hoping that our members will have the opportunity to enjoy & match their needs with what the club has to offer." Therefore, we continually improve our facilities to ensure we are the preferred choice for dining, recreation, educational and leisure activities. The expansion plan has included a complete redesign of many outlets and banquet areas and the construction of a full library with a wide collection of books that appeals to all groups of people. Moreover Al Saqr health club was completely renovated offering state of the Art Facility including body massage treatments, Gymnasium, Sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Furthermore, all sports courts have been upgraded. The new facility includes a kid's playground with bumper cars and soft playgrounds as well. Other Facilities include newly built internet café, and sports courts.

The Tourist Club is full with lots of entertainments and recreation activities from water sports, bowling alley, Billiard, and snooker room. In addition to a theatre for children's event and stage shows. The Tourist club has an excellent beach offering a number of water sports and leisure activities such as water skiing, and scuba diving trips.

During one of his visits to the club Mr. Manfred Simons, Director of hotel operations, added: "with the opening of the new library, Abu Dhabi tourist club becomes more then just a recreational & leisure facility. It will appeal to those who go with the sole purpose of enhancing their education & continuous learning through reading or participating in educational competitions organized by the Library."

The success and the trustworthy status, which the Abu Dhabi Tourist club achieved throughout 32 years of continuous development to satisfy its clients has placed it as the preferred spot for recreation and leisure in Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Tourist club was inaugurated in 1972 upon the recommendations of his Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, president of the United Arab Emirates. In 1982 the Abu Dhabi National Hotels Company took over the management of the club, bringing with it their established technical and administrative know-how in the leisure industry in order to upgrade and develop the facilities of the club as per the guidance of the executive council.
