Adel Al-Majed, Group GM of Consumer Banking at NBK stated that this unique service 'MyWatani Online' is offered for the first time in the Middle East. The most striking feature of this service is enabling customers to customize their view and access to their products and services. Customers can now personalize their balance information, transfer funds, bill payments, and self services as well as nickname their accounts, credit cards, loans, funds, and Watani Gifts, added Al-Majed. Another striking feature is the ability for customers to add their favorite links to MyWatani Online and view their payment and transfer summary list.
These initiatives have created a critical mass of online users, reaching by the end of 2003 more than 80,000 customers use the Watani online and more than 2 million transactions through Internet banking services.
Al-Majed indicated, 'our strategy is to position our online services in line with our customer needs'. He also added 'our online strategy also includes providing convenience for our customers and as a result we are continuously offering innovative and new service on our online channels'.
