The inauguration was attended by Mr.Rafic Fakih, Managing Director of McDonald's UAE along with officials from McDonald's Middle East Development Centre and other invitees. The new restaurant is located in Muhaisna 4 area behind the Dubai Transport's Station at Lulu Village.
During the opening ceremony Rafic Fakih said: "The new restaurant was a response for the recurring demand from our customers residing, working or studying in this fast-growing area."
He added: "Our business in the UAE is growing hand-in-hand with the growth of the Emirates, and our contribution to the local communities we serve is growing as well. Last year we supported three major national sports events and built three playrooms for needy children. In addition we have an ongoing program to host needy people to eat and enjoy their times in our restaurants." concluded Rafic.
Since it first started operations in the UAE, McDonald's has had a strong track record of supporting local community initiatives. In addition, and being locally owned and operated, the company has been an active supporter and participant in national celebrations, and constitutes a significant investment in the local economy.
