Innovation Awards Jury moves into final stages

Dubai Shopping Festival 2004, itself an innovative and ground-breaking concept, aims to reward original thinking and creativity that is manifested by participating outlets and business partners during DSF 2004.
The jury has started going through the applications that were received by Dubai Shopping Festival office from retail outlets, hotels, shopping malls, restaurants and other trade and social organisations.
Laila Suhail, Corporate Alliance Director, Dubai Shopping Festival, said, "The applications that have been received for the Innovation Awards reflect the popularity and the value that people attach to this award. This recognition awards the efforts taken in presenting the best to customers and visitors, as well as the eager participation in the Dubai Shopping Festival."
"The applications that have been received by the jury is very special as they are of high standards, and the evaluation will be based on different criteria. All entries are being judged by an expert panel of judges and customers, and evaluation is based on the following weightage- 50% for the Idea, 25% for the Execution and 25% for the End Result."
"Applications included all the categories, including from participants in the Global Village, and the jury has started their visits to inspect the venues that the outlets have showcased. This is the first step to deciding the winners, which will be announced at the closing ceremony of Dubai Shopping Festival", she added.
The categories for the Innovation Award are Best Shopping Mall Promotion, Best Shopping Mall Décor, Best Shopping Mall Event, Best Retail Promotion, Best Retail Visual Merchandising, Best Retail Service, Best City Event and Best Humanitarian Event. The Awards for the Global Village category are Best Pavilion Design, Best Pavilion Management & Service and Best Cultural Representation of a Country.
This ultimate recognition of innovation and business success is now an eagerly awaited event surrounding Dubai Shopping Festival, and identifies and encourages unique and innovative business methods, a phenomenon true of Dubai itself.
