Grey Worldwide Dubai becomes first ISO-certified Ad Agency in the Gulf

Following five months of internal work, which concluded last week with a Lloyd's audit of all departments, Grey Worldwide Dubai became the first advertising agency in the Gulf to be awarded the prestigious international ISO 9001:2000 quality management certification.
Eric Hanna, Chief Operating Officer for the region, said: "We have always been renowned for our creativity. But as advertising professionals we believe that, in order to truly serve our clients, we need to ensure that our management and operational procedures meet their high standards and expectations. It's great to finally have international recognition for this! Our aim for next year is to continue to build brands - those of our clients and ours - the way we have traditionally done it: through strong teams delivering good creativity and quality of service."
2003 was a phenomenal year for Grey Worldwide, with extraordinary growth thanks to the support of existing clients (mainly Nokia, Standard Chartered Bank, Masterfoods, Bridgestone, Jotun Paints, THE One and Emirates Computers), as well as new clients (Visa, Power Horse and Dhofar Poultry) resulting in the expansion of both its office and team, which almost doubled in size. The expansion continues this year, with the agency soon to occupy two more floors of the API World Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road to accommodate Mediacom and G2.
Management felt that a quantitative leap of this magnitude demanded a qualitative leap in order to ensure that the best advertising standards are kept in place. This meant tighter quality control on the output of all departments. Regular audits will be conducted to ensure that the ISO systems and procedures are strictly implemented.
