Mid-market enterprises in Middle East to benefit from Sun Microsystems, Oracle and Hyperlink collaboration
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, February 12 - 2004 at 08:41
- PRESS RELEASE
Sun Microsystems Middle East & North Africa announced today it has tied up with Oracle Middle East and Hyperlink to present a series of roadshows that will educate decision-makers from the mid-market or 'emerging' business sector on IT solutions that address the specific issues faced by organizations of their size.
"Not so long ago, a bundled solution like the one Sun, Oracle, and Hyperlink are offering was reserved solely for the higher end of the Middle East market. However, the three partner companies involved realized that the mid-market sector has an equally critical need for business solutions that automate and centralize their most critical activities, from financials to human resources," said Pras Abey, Alliance Manager, Sun Microsystems Middle East and North Africa.
"Traditionally, mid-market companies have struggled with the cost and implementation time associated with enterprise resource planning (ERP) projects. Our collaboration has created for SMBs a simple, quickly-implemented bundle that includes the region's most widely-used business software, corporate-grade computing infrastructure, and high quality services, all at an affordable investment level."
At the regional events, keynote addresses and hands-on demonstrations will be made by Sun, Oracle and Hyperlink professionals to inform decision-makers about how they can select and adopt appropriate solutions that enable their businesses to prosper. Delegates will also witness firsthand the solution bundle - which combines Oracle's E-Business Suite Special Edition, Sun's Linux-based hardware, and Hyperlink's implementation services - put through its paces in a live technical demonstration.
Ayman Abouseif, marketing director, Oracle Middle East, added, "We have more than a decade of experience in meeting the business needs of the region's mid-market - in fact, 40 percent of Oracle's EMEA application customer base is made up of midsize organizations. This bundle is set to enable our 'emerging' customer base to streamline business processes, close books faster, increase business intelligence and improve customer service - all in one easily deployed and managed solution bundle."
The seminars will take place in Abu Dhabi on February 15, Dubai on February 16, and Beirut on February 24.
"As the largest Oracle E-Business Suite implementation and consultancy services company in the Middle East, Hyperlink is experiencing a surge in demand from the region's mid-market. We believe that this solution bundle is an ideal fit to meet that growing interest," said Dani Diab, vice president and general manager, Hyperlink.
