Dubai Chamber receives new Malaysian Ambassador

Mr. Abdul Rahman Ghanim Al Mutaiwee, the Director General of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, praised the bilateral trade relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Malaysia which reflects the vast developments in the initiatives, communication, exchanged visits between the official bodies and the active organizations in the commercial and economic business activities sin both countries.

This came in a meeting with H.E Mubin Razali, the Malaysian ambassador, and Nadzri Shamsudin, Consul General and Trade Commissioner.

The Director General of the Chamber highlighted the increased cooperation and investment opportunities between Dubai and Malaysia, pointing out that as soon as the encouraging factors for business and investment exist in Malaysia, investors from Dubai would move directly towards it, especially that Malaysia is a Muslim country enjoying a great economic system which provides much encouragement to develop and consolidate investment and commercial cooperation.

"Just as we have succeeded in investment in Malaysia, Malaysians have also succeeded in benefiting from the investment opportunities and facilities provided in Dubai, have entered its markets with force, and have entered neighboring markets due to Dubai's strategic position within the Gulf" commented Mr. Al Mutaiwee.

Al Mutaiwee clarified that although the private sector in Dubai enjoys a special position and receives a lot of government backing, it is moving strongly towards foreign investment in neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Pakistan and India.

From his side, the Malaysian ambassador highlighted the high level of bilateral trade relations between the UAE and Malaysia, and expressed admiration for Dubai's experience in development and its ability to attract the world in tourism, business visits or for residency. He also pointed out that the Malaysian companies have a strong presence in the international exhibitions taking place in Dubai, and commented that Dubai's expertise in encouraging commerce is considered to be exceptional.
