The emphasis and objective of the new lecture series was to update HCT students, staff and the local community partners of HCT on emerging major issues that affect different industry sectors globally.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr.Premji, Chairman, Wipro said: "I am delighted to interact with the student community. I believe that young talent holds great potential to contribute to industry and thereby to society."
Mr. Premji advised students as future leaders of tomorrow, to aim high, and to never sacrifice their values of honesty and integrity. "Success has to be built on a strong foundation of values, otherwise, it will break down at the first sign of difficulty," he noted.
Mr. Premji also urged students to be self-confident and learn from their mistakes and move forward. "Finally, play to win. Playing to win is one of the finest things you can do. Playing to win stretches you and everyone around you. It gives you a new sense of direction and energy," he added.
Fortune magazine recently featured Mr.Premji as one of the 25 most powerful people in business outside the United States. His company, WIPRO, is a leading international IT services provider, with over 29,000 employees of 18 nationalities and has over 20 years of IT Consulting, Software Services, Systems Integration and Engineering Services experience.
