Key and Support Sponsors helped make DSF 2004 happen

The number of organizations that sign on to be a part of Dubai Shopping Festival increases each year, and this year there have been a record number of Key and Support Sponsors.
Mr. Salah Tahlak, Senior Manager- Promotions and Advertising, DDF, said, "At Dubai Duty Free, we are very happy to announce that we are a part of DSF, for the first time. There is a certain bond that both entities share, in terms of putting Dubai on the map of the international traveler. We will be taking our draws closer to DSF revelers by setting up ticket kiosks at the Global Village, and allowing the visitors there to buy tickets, which otherwise is available to only travelers."
Dubai Duty Free, which celebrated its 20th anniversary on December 20th, is also offering a 20% discount across all products available at the Duty Free section in the Dubai International Airport. The revenue of one day, which adds up to around Dhs. 7.1 million, will be donated to charities to mark this special milestone for Dubai Duty Free.
Jumbo Electronics, the UAE-based consumer electronics, telecom, IT and office automation giant have launched a spectacular promotion during DSF 2004. Jumbo will run individual promotions on top international brands including Sony, Nokia, HP, Acer, Fujitsu-Siemens, Sony-Ericsson, IBM, Casio, Epson and Supra, featuring a host of bargain deals, hefty discounts, exciting prizes and bundle offers.
Mercato is filled with options for DSF 2004. The 'Magical Moments' include magicians, illusionists and mystical performers as well as a Magic Academy, an Optical Illusion Gallery and The History of Magic show. Shoppers who accumulate receipts for Dhs.200 will get a raffle coupon to enter the draw for fabulous hampers, and the grand prizes of a 4.4 litre BMW X5 and a 3 series convertible BMW.
Visa International is offering a great opportunity to its customers to automatically enter a draw with each transaction they make with a Visa Credit or Visa Electron Card at any of the 2000 participating outlets. A family of four could win a trip to Disneyland Resorts Paris.
Paris Gallery is offering gifts with purchases on all the popular brands of perfumes, cosmetics, watches, sunglasses and accessories. The company is also giving away a diamond watch and fragrance basket worth Dhs.30,000 every day. The total value of prizes being offered by Paris Gallery is Dhs.1.15 million, plus there are also gifts for all visitors to Paris Gallery.
BurJuman Centre's fabulous stores are offering irresistible deals during DSF 2004. Across the mall there are discounts of between 30 and 70% on fashion-wear, accessories, shoes, leather, goods, cosmetics, perfumes, jewellery and more. The mega prizes, worth over a million Dirhams, include 5 BMWs, diamond jewellery, luxury cruises and loads of shopping vouchers. Entertainment events within the mall include the Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle in association with Visa International and an International Jewellery Show.
DAMAC Properties, a DSF 2004 Support Sponsor and leading property developers in Dubai has a mission to provide buildings incorporating the latest innovations and concepts and offers clients unique state-of-the-art, custom-made properties specifically for their purposes.

Al Habtoor Group, a Key Sponsor of DSF, is participating in the Dubai Shopping Festival for the sixth time with several initiatives through the Metropolitan Group of Hotels. The Group sees its participation in DSF as an opportunity to support the Government projects and as a platform for business gains.

The 'Where Everyone Wins' promotion offers scratch cards which can also be entered into weekly draws for prizes such as quad bikes and big screen TVs. And one lucky shopper will walk away with Dhs. 100,000 cash in a grand draw at the end of the ninth shopping festival, which continues to go from strength to strength.

Deira City Centre, a part of the Majid Al Futtaim Group and one of the Key Sponsors of the Dubai Shopping Festival 2004 are now adding final touches to preparations to receive visitors during this big event, which will run from the 15th January to 15th February 2004. The preparations include promotions of participating outlets and special decorations throughout the mall. This is the ninth consecutive year the Group has sponsored the region's most exciting event.
Dubai Shopping Festival 2004, in ensuring that there is something for everyone, is presenting the 'Movie Mania' special screenings of popular movies in association with CineStar. Mashreqbank is once again putting its weight behind the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2004 as Key Sponsor with a line-up of special promotions aimed at consumers, the business community and even homebuyers. The prize money will be Dh4.75 million, including a bumper MashreqMillionaire draw with a prize of up to Dh3.5 million for one lucky winner plus a second draw for Dh1 million.
Savers can purchase MashreqMillionaire certificates for the further Dh2.1 million cash and two freehold apartments worth more than AED700,000 at Emaar Greens, that will be given away during DSF. Draws will culminate in a Dh1,000,000 draw on 15 February 2004, the closing day of the Shopping Festival.
The Gold & Jewellery Group will continue to run its longstanding annual mega gold promotion. A total of 47 kg of gold will be distributed to lucky winners during the month-long promotion, and festival prizes of one kilo of gold will be distributed in the form of 100 World Family commemorative gold coins each day. Shoppers also have a chance to Scratch & Win thousands gold coins and 'Win Back Half your purchase' during DSF 2004. The grand prize of 10 kilograms of gold coins will be presented to one lucky winner at a grand draw on the last day of the month-long festival. To participate in the promotion, customers will have to purchase gold or jewellery worth AED500 from any participating outlet. Each AED500 purchase will entitle shoppers to one coupon.
Key Sponsor, National Refreshments, is presenting the 'Pepsi Sports Fiesta' that will involve more than 4000 male and female players of all ages from eight upwards competing in a series of qualifying pool matches with winners progressing to the final knockout stages. About 250 football, 350 basketball and 70 cricket teams are expected to take part, with prizes for the winners in different categories according to age- girls, boys, adults, mixed and corporate.
"Pepsi brings more to youth- more fun, more refreshments, more music and more sport- hence our decision to launch the Pepsi Sport Fiesta as our contribution to the Dubai Shopping Festival 2004 celebrations", said Marketing Manager, Peter Dickens.

Al Sayegh Brothers has been a support sponsor of DSF since 1996. The company is the official distributor of LG Digital Products, Aiwa and Olympus in the UAE. During DSF 2004,7he company has special promotions on all its brands. Free gifts include DVD titles, DVD players, cameras, digital cameras, home theatre systems, binoculars and more. Prices have been greatly reduced for DSF too.
