Hertz UAE expands car rental network to East coast

The new branch, at the Al Futtaim Motors Workshop in Fujairah joins 14 other Hertz UAE locations in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah, while plans are already under way for a Hertz location to open in Al Ain shortly.

"Coming to Fujairah is an important strategic move as it will give us an opportunity to tap into what we see as a market with enormous potential for growth in the years to come," said Bob Farrow, general manager of Hertz UAE, which is part of the Al-Futtaim Group.

The new location will not only benefit visiting business and leisure travellers but also Fujairah residents. The car rental branch's proximity to the Al Futtaim Motors workshop means car owners in need of a replacement vehicle can take advantage of a special eight-hour rate.

Operating with a fleet of vehicles which includes the latest models, ranging from economy to luxury cars, and 4x4s, the new branch also offers rentals on a daily, weekly, weekend and monthly basis. Customers can also lease a vehicle for a period of between one and four years and enjoy all the benefits of car ownership with none of the hassle.

All cars are fully insured and undergo a 40-point quality check-up by Hertz mechanics prior to rentals, which come with $1 million third party insurance coverage.

In Dubai, Hertz UAE has branches on the Airport Road, at the Sheraton Towers, the Ramada Hotel, at Dubai International Airport Terminals 1 & 2, at Jebel Ali Free Zone, the Toyota service centre in Ramoul, and at the Trading Enterprises service centers in Ramoul and on Sheikh Zayed Road.

In Abu Dhabi, Hertz branches are at Abu Dhabi International Airport, on Al Falah Street, and at Trading Enterprises, Mussafa, while in Sharjah, there are branches at both the Toyota & Honda service centres. Ras Al Khaimah' first Hertz branch is located at the Hilton hotel Ras Al Khaimah.
