Tech Access briefs channel partners on 2004 strategy
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, February 16 - 2004 at 10:40
- PRESS RELEASE
Tech Access, Sun Microsystems' channel development provider in the Middle East, today gathered its entire channel partner network from across the GCC, Levant, Pakistan and North Africa in Dubai, to update them on the latest technological developments and sales strategy for the next 12 months.
"Keeping our partners across the region informed about the latest offerings from Sun and Tech Access plays a key role in maintaining the high levels of service provided to our customers. Forums such as this provide a valuable platform for information to be exchanged and comments to be shared," said Shomail Ghalib, managing director, Tech Access.
This event also coincides with the establishment of Sun's new offices in Dubai Internet City. Executives expressed confidence that the move will bring the two companies much closer together and make communication more effective and convenient.
Resellers were also briefed about the increasing portfolio of iForce solution partners. The center, managed by Tech Access in co-operation with Sun, allows customers the option to test solutions before buying, and the number of solutions available for evaluation has increased by almost 100% over the past year.
Tech Access has successfully been making efforts to expand its support for Sun's partnership networks across the region, and the Dubai forum was an important opportunity to consolidate those achievements. The event was a chance for the company to share its plans for 2004 with partners, and ensure that maximum efforts are made to maintain channel development.
New partners in important local markets are now firmly established in the Tech Access group, and fully equipped to deliver the range of new and established services the company offers.
These partners include Raya Integration Promise Services and ProSyLab in Egypt; Saudi Arabia's Jeraisy Computer and Communication Services, Moammar Information Systems, MM Al-Rumaih Establishment, Arabic Computer Systems Ltd and Abdulla Fouad CO Ltd; and the Moroccan ib-Maroc.com S.A.
"Tech Access in partnership with Sun is constantly developing new channel partners - especially in newer territories such as Algeria, Mauratania and Tunisia - and introducing new technology in the dynamic regional market. Supporting our partners, especially from a solutions-led sales engagement, is a primary focus of our business. Over the coming months we intend to build on our success in winning new business and supporting existing customers," concluded Ghalib.
"Our aim is to keep the channel network as informed as possible about the company's new solutions and corporate direction, while understanding firsthand any challenges that Sun's channel is facing in the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan. The partner summit also gives us a platform to educate our regional partners about the alliances we're forging with global software vendors and systems integrators," added Stavros Vougas, channel and marketing manager, Sun Microsystems MENA.
