Ajmal Perfumes announces 15 percent increase in sales during DSF
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, February 16 - 2004 at 14:23
- PRESS RELEASE
Ajmal Perfumes has announced a 15 percent surge in overall sales during the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2004 compared to last year's DSF.
Nazir Ajmal, Marketing Director and Chief Perfumer at Ajmal Perfumes commenting on the success of this year's participation in the shopping festival said: "This DSF has proved to be yet another successful shopping period for us - the 'Win Diamonds with Ajmal' promotion has gained tremendous popularity among our local customers and has contributed greatly to the boost in DSF sales."
"Despite the reduced number of GCC visitors this year, retailers like us still managed to achieve an increase sales by implementing innovative retail promotions and value-added incentives, which our local clientele look forward to every year. Also, Eid Al Adha falling during the month of DSF has contributed to the overall rise in sales, especially with the oriental perfumes and oudh products, traditionally purchased as gifts for such festive occasions," continued Ajmal.
In addition to the 15 percent surge in DSF sales, Ajmal Perfumes also witnessed an increase in footfall levels at its showrooms throughout Dubai, leading to enhanced sales at its mall outlets. During DSF, Ajmal enjoyed a strong presence with dedicated kiosks located in several festival activity areas including Rigga Street, Al Seef, the Global Village and, for the first time, the Night Souq.
"The boost in our DSF sales can be attributed to our ever-growing presence and value-added promotions, which have successfully attracted a growing number of shoppers to our stores. We are always pleased to support retail initiatives such as DSF, as it gives us the opportunity to add value to the DSF promise, by ensuring a truly rewarding shopping experience. Next year, we hope more GCC residents will visit the UAE to experience DSF and, as a retailer, we will do our part to offer exciting shopping incentives," continued Ajmal.
