'The Banker Middle East' names NBK the 'Best Retail Bank' and 'Best Corporate Bank' in Kuwait for 2004

The Banker Middle East, located in Dubai, has awarded National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) the 'Best Retail Bank' and 'Best Corporate Bank' in Kuwait for 2004.

The awards were announced in the Banker Middle East GCC Banking Awards 2004 presentation ceremony.

Mr. Adel Al-Majed, Group GM of consumer Banking at NBK said that wining the awards reassures the NBK role as a leader in providing financial and banking services to individuals and corporates in Kuwait, offering sophisticated and integrated wide range of products and services to both domestic firms and international corporates doing business in Kuwait. "Our strategy focuses on meeting the needs of various customer segments, while offering them the widest range of products and quality service in convenient manner" Al-Majed added.

NBK has recently reported a net profit of USD 412 million for 2003. NBK has long been distinguished by having the highest credit rating given to any Bank in the region by international rating agencies including Moody's, FitchRating, S&P and Capital Intelligence.
