HSBC wins Banker Middle East award

HSBC has been voted 'Best Wealth Management Initiative' in the GCC for its Premier service by readers of The Banker Middle East magazine.

The award, which recognises HSBC Premier as a premium wealth management service for top tier personal banking customers across the GCC, was presented to Nik Cherrill, Head of Personal Financial Services, HSBC Bank Middle East Limited, during a ceremony held at the Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai on 16 February 2004.

The Banker Middle East GCC Banking Awards 2004 was held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance and Industry, UAE, and HE Dr Mohammed Khalfan Bin Kharbash, UAE Minister of State for Finance and Industry.

In selecting HSBC, the magazine said: 'As investors in the GCC become increasingly sophisticated, it is crucial that banks operating in this region offer them a rage of sophisticated products supported by a truly service-oriented culture.
