Land Rover sponsors the 3B Jordan Challenge

Land Rover, the legendary British 4x4 manufacturer has announced its sponsorship of the 3B Jordan Challenge which will be held between 7th and 16th April 2004 to raise awareness about Osteoporosis in the Gulf.

The 3B (Better Bone Belt) campaign comprises of a team of 22 adventurous women who have come together to fight for a common cause of raising funds and awareness for Osteoporosis. The challenge will involve a test of intelligence, initiative, team spirit as well as physical fitness and positive attitude.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Mr. Marwan Halabi, Marketing Manager, Land Rover Middle East & Africa, said, " We are very delighted to have had the opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause and we admire the adventurous spirit of these women who are geared up to face the challenge to spread awareness about Osteoporosis. We are very pleased to be able to contribute to the community through such a positive initiative and wish all the participants success and good luck."

The line-up of activities will include trekking, snorkeling, mountain biking, rock climbing, skydiving and off-road driving along the scenic terrains of Jordan. Starting from Aqaba, they will make their way to Wadi Rum, Petra, Jebel Haroun, Dana National Reserve and the Dead Sea.

The challenging off-road terrains will be driven by Land Rover's new Freelander model, the innovative four-wheel drive that has the dedicated, engineering pedigree, which makes it the best off-roader in its class.
