HE Hamad Al Midfa inaugurates Envirotex

His Excellency, Hamad Abdul Rahman Al Midfa, UAE Minister of Health today inaugurated the launch show of Envirotex 2004, an environmental trade fair organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre in conjunction with the prestigious Zayed International Prize for the Environment.

He was accompanied at the event by DWTC Director General, Mubarak bin Fahad, Executive Director of UNEP, Klaus Topfer, Chairman, Higher Committee of the Zayed Priz,e Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad, and a host of senior officials from Dubai's public sector.

HE Al Midfa spent time talking to exhibitors at the event and spoke to representatives from Dubai Ports, Customs, & Free Zone Corporation, Technopark, Nakheel, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Cheqpoint Tech trading, Al Futtaim Bodycote, Fujairah Municipality, Sharjah Municipality, Dubai Municipality, E.E.G., UNEP (Bahrain), Abu Dhabi Seaport Authority, UAE Air Force, Al Serkal Group, Al Bayader Irrigation & Contracting, Global Scan Technologies, Emirates Specialties, Emarat, Kaid Al Injaz (K.S.A.), SEPCO Env. (K.S.A.), Waterleau (Belgium), Envac (Sweden) and Karinca Filtre (Turkey) who are participating at the event.

This exhibition would prove helpful for organisations that have a direct influence over decisions that have a potential impact on environment management in the region.
