New product showcase pays dividends for Toshiba electronic imaging distributors

Distributors from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Turkey, and Yemen were represented and hosted many key major account customers who are now in the process of finalising their orders from the show.

"Our objective for participating Gitex every year is to show our commitment to our customers in Middle East by presenting and demonstrating our latest products and solutions," said Isao Sugehara, general manager of Toshiba Singapore's electronic Imaging division. We will definitely be back in 2004."

MJM Sharaz, sales manager of UAE distributor Al-Futtaim Technologies, added: "We had many serious discussions with key customers, from both the corporate and government sectors, and we are now finalizing a series of deals with them.

"The Toshiba e3511 and e4511 received a very positive response. With these systems, Toshiba is now presenting a new generation of multifunctional units that offer a high-speed monochrome printer/copier that also permits scanning, printing and copying in colour.

"Customers recognised the value of such colour-capable product at the right price. Although the trend towards more colour in business documents is not new , users have until now had to compromise by choosing between a device that produces documents in colour or a printer/copier for black-and-white only.

"With the e-Studio 4511, we can satisfy users who demand a full-scale black-and-white digital multifunctional system with a compact body, sufficiently fast output speed, high image quality, advanced paper handling capabilities, and superb network connectivity-plus full colour functions - all at a reasonable cost."
