DCCI to host a seminar on legal issues in Iraq

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry is orginising a seminar entitled 'Doing business in Iraq', in affiliation with Al Tamimi and Company, Advocates & Legal Consultants.

The seminar will take place at the Fairmont Hotel in Dubai, on the 28th February 2004.

It will address the key legal issues affecting any company contemplating doing business in Iraq. It will also provide a professional overview for senior managers and new business development executives on the legal, commercial and banking factors to be taken into consideration when planning doing business in Iraq. In addition, the seminar will be of interest for in-house counsel and legal consultants seeking to become more informed on Iraq business law.

Key Speakers include Mr. Mohammed Hassan Al Qazaz, Chairman of the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce, who will address redevelopment, Mr. Mowafaq Hassan Mahmood the Managing Director of the Bank of Baghdad who will discuss the banking sector, Mr. Essam Al Tamimi, Managing Partner of Al Tamimi & Company will moderate the seminar, Dr Falah H. Mustafa who is an expert on Project and Construction Management who will speak on the Private Finance Initiative, and Dr. Adil Sinjakli, Head of the Iraq Law Practice Al Tamimi & Company who will speak on Recent Economic Laws in Iraq.
