New broadcasting technologies to be showcased at CABSAT 2002

A wide array of new broadcasting technologies will be showcased at the 8th annual Middle East International Cable, Satellite, Broadcast and Telecommunications exhibition to be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, March 5-7, 2002, including the Middle East launch of new slow motion editing technology and switcher system that enables live production, streaming and editing which received its world-wide launch at the end of 2001.
Pinnacle Systems, which has worked with numerous broadcasters in the region, including Al-Jazeera, Dubai TV, Future TV, Kuwait TV, LBCI, MBC, MTV, Qatar TV, Saudi TV, VideoCairo Sat and ZEN TV, will feature an exciting range of solutions for live production, streaming and editing at CABSAT, including the new PDS 6000 switcher which received its world wide launch at the end of last year.
It will also feature its next generation still and clip server solution, Thunder LT and StreamGenie, a portable, rugged webcasting solution for delivering rich-media over the Internet.
EVS Broadcast Equipment will also launch new broadcasting technology at CABSAT 2002.
"CabSat 2002 will be the first International trade show where we will be presenting LSM-XT, the very latest in our slow motion replay and live editing technology for the sports television market," said Marcel Groos of EVS Broadcast Equipment.
The company will also demonstrate a selection of its MPEG-2 play-out products, featuring integrated playlist automation and DVB multiplexing at the exhibition.
"CabSat has proven to be an excellent meeting point to exchange ideas with all key players of the broadcast business in the ME region, and to offer them "hands-on" demonstrations of our products at the same time," said Groos.
Other broadcasting technologies to be showcased at the event include Digidesign's newest computer-based digital audio production systems. Oasis Enterprises, will feature its D9 digital broadcast system and a new slow motion recorder.
