BenQ celebrates success at Dubai Shopping Festival

  • United Arab Emirates: Saturday, February 28 - 2004 at 11:14
  • PRESS RELEASE

BenQ, the region's leading supplier of digital lifestyle products, has reported strong sales figures at this year's Dubai Shopping Festival.

The month-long event is the highlight of Dubai's shopping calendar, and an important opportunity for high-profile brands like BenQ to draw consumers' attention to new products.

Initial indications are that BenQ has achieved its predicted 20 per cent sales increase, compared with last year's results. Strong performance was recorded across the company's extensive product range, as festival bargain hunters took advantage of big reductions on BenQ's popular digital appliances.

"DSF is all about value for money, and we at BenQ are committed to offering customers across the region the most advanced digital technology at affordable prices," said Manish Bakshi, chief operating officer at BenQ Middle East.

"It was especially exciting to see the Joybook range of notebook computers perform so well. We saw strong sales across all three models currently on sale in the Middle East - the Joybook 8000, Joybook 5000 and Joybook 3000," added Bakshi.

The full range of BenQ products was on offer throughout the festival, and the company's presence at the forefront of the region's technology market was advertised by the placing of BenQ flags along the Sheikh Zayed Road, from the Trade Center Roundabout to the Defense Roundabout.

"This year's Dubai Shopping Festival was as much a celebration for BenQ as an opportunity to raise awareness of our products. 2003 was an excellent year for us, marked by the release of the Joybook - one of the most advanced products we have ever developed. We now aim to make this year every bit as successful, and DSF 2004 has provided an excellent start," commented Bakshi.
