ABN AMRO announces appointment of consumer banking marketing head

ABN AMRO Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Karim Beg as the new Head of Marketing for Consumer Banking at ABN AMRO, United Arab Emirates.
"I am delighted to take on the role of Head of Marketing for Consumer Banking at ABN AMRO at this time. Our aim now is to take ABN AMRO consumer banking to the next level. The bank aspires to become the strongest international bank in the cards and preferred banking businesses by the end of this year, and I firmly believe that our team has the ability, and drive, to achieve this," said Beg.
A seasoned professional in the banking industry, he has over 12 years of consumer marketing and product management experience with leading international corporations such as Pepsi Cola, Citibank etc. With a strong background in developing successful business models, brand positioning, communication strategies, media and external affairs management, he has a number of consumer banking achievements to his name, including the successful development of the ABN AMRO UAE's credit card business - establishing it in September 2000 as an active and innovative competitor in the UAE.
"The future looks bright for ABN AMRO - we can absolutely guarantee our new and existing customers that their loyalty will be rewarded by a level of customer service that is totally unequalled in this market. Beg, holds a masters degree in business management from the Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan where he majored in marketing.
