ITP and Carrefour's strategic alliance cements publisher's market dominance
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, March 01 - 2004 at 13:47
- PRESS RELEASE
ITP, the publishers of Time Out Dubai, Arabian Business Magazine and Ahlan!, amongst other leading titles, has signed an agreement with Carrefour MAF Hypermarket LLC to display and sell its magazines at custom-made counters located at the checkouts in the Sharjah and Deira branches.
This move is widely seen as taking ITP even further away from its competitors in terms of magazine visibility and reach, and continues the rapid process that began when ITP launched its first major news-trade title, Time Out Dubai, almost three years ago, by building and maintaining an innovative distribution and retail policy that has helped maximise the sales and awareness of its titles.
"From the launch of Time Out Dubai in September 2001, we made concerted efforts to develop the best visibility and point of sale - a practice we have also followed to great effect with new weekly launches such as Ahlan!, Ahlan Arabic and Masala magazines", continued Akawi.
