Holiday Inn Najran welcomes new general manager

Mostafa Blanco has been appointed general manager of the Holiday Inn Najran, one of nine Holiday Inn properties in Saudi Arabia managed by InterContinental Hotels Group.

Blanco, who has spent 17 of his 19 years in the hospitality industry with InterContinental Hotels Group, was previously Hotel Manager at the Holiday Inn Resort Hammamet in his native Tunisia.

With a diploma from the Institut Superieur de Tourisme in Tunisia, he started his career in 1985 as a receptionist at the Crowne Plaza Jeddah, which was a Holiday Inn property at the time. Blanco then moved on to senior management roles at a number of Holiday Inn hotels and resorts throughout Saudi Arabia.

In 1996, Blanco was appointed general manager of a leading tour and travel company in Saudi Arabia, BSP Travel. He rejoined InterContinental Hotels Group two years later when he became Director of Sales & Marketing at the former Holiday Inn Bahrain, now a Crowne Plaza property.

Also in Saudi Arabia, InterContinental Hotels Group manages 11 InterContinental hotels as well as the Crowne Plaza Jeddah.
