Ajman Government and Microsoft sign enterprise agreement

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi, Ruler's Representative of Financial and Administrative affairs-Ajman Government, and in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Information -Ajman Government, Microsoft and the Information Technology department of the Ajman Government signed today an Enterprise Agreement to provide the technology platform for eight
The agreement is the latest step in the Emirate of Ajman's commitment to utilize the benefits of technology in enhancing the capabilities of its employees, and will provide a common technology platform for the government departments. ITQAN, a Microsoft Gold Partner, will develop and deploy the solution, as well as work together with Microsoft to train users.
The solution will be implemented in key departments in the Ajman government, where employees will be able to share information securely between the departments, all in a familiar, browser-based solution that integrates with Microsoft Office 2003, and the Windows operating system.
Abdullatif Almulla, General Manager of Microsoft South Gulf said: "We are very excited about this agreement and we believe that this is just the beginning of a long-term relationship with the Ajman Government. Microsoft is committed to helping the Government of Ajman take advantage of the best technology Microsoft offers today. The state-of-the-art solution deployed for Ajman Government is designed to give all users within the various departments the ability to readily access, organize and share select information without compromising on confidential data.

Over the past five years, ITQAN has delivered Microsoft-based leading edge solutions for many government initiatives across the UAE, and we are pleased to be extending our extensive expertise to our partners at Ajman Government," said Ihab Sahili, CEO of ITQAN.

Amjad Joudah, Information Technology Manager at the Government of Ajman thanked the attendees and all those who contributed in facilitating this project for the Emirate of Ajman.
Microsoft will be offering training as a part of its Software Assurance licensing program, along with hosting a technology event for the government officials in co-operation with ITQAN.
