The ITU, a worldwide organization, which brings governments and industry together to coordinate the establishment and operation of global telecommunication networks and services, has been organizing Telecom events for more than 30 years. 2004 represents the first year that Egypt will host the event.

"ITP is delighted to have the opportunity of providing the official free daily newspaper for ITU Telecom Africa 2004. The paper will cover breaking news from the show, global and regional telecommunications news as well as interviews from exhibitors, delegates and speakers alike, in English with dedicated Arabic summaries", said Walid Akawi, ITP's Publishing Director.

"ITP is able to bring a wealth of experience and professionalism to this undertaking. For a number of years we have been responsible for the GITEX Times for both GITEX Saudi Arabia and GITEX, the region's largest IT trade show. We are expectant that the ITU Daily will be of similar success", he added.
