Adventureland, a world class family entertainment centre, to open in Sharjah

Residents of Sharjah and the neighbouring Emirates of the UAE will finally get a taste of world-class fun and entertainment - in Adventureland!

Located at the 1st Level of the Sahara Centre, Adventureland is a 70,000 square foot indoor entertainment centre which will offer many firsts -- from its innovatively-designed theming to its 300 meters long indoor roller coaster, multilevel indoor train, water flume ride and many other rides and attractions.

The creation of Adventureland is key to the concept of making Sahara Centre the prime destination for the ultimate shopping and entertainment experience in the region as envisioned by mall owners, Salah Bukhatir and Nawaf Gobash. Owned by AL Ithara LLC, the concept of Adventureland is the brainchild of Mr. Glenn Figueroa and Mr. Shahram Foroughi, co-founders of the Fun Exchange Corporation and experts in the entertainment industry. Mr. Figueroa and Mr. Foroughi will jointly manage the operations of the entertainment centre.

Mr. Figueroa says the complex can handle 5,000 playing customers in an hour and is the only entertainment centre in the region that caters to fun seekers of all ages. Unlike most family entertainment centres in the region, Adventureland, will feature over 15 rides and attractions and more than a hundred electronic games designed to suit the more edgy and daring teen and adult market in addition to the traditional kiddie rides.

Mr. Foroughi on the other hand emphasized Adventureland's thrust, which is to provide innovative forms of entertainment. " Internet and sports cafés have been added alongside the traditional carousels and bumper rides to cater to all tastes and preferences," he said.

As of press time, final preparations are being undertaken by the management to assure customers of safe and quality entertainment come opening day. Definitely, Adventureland is entertainment unlike anything in the U.A.E.
