Nakheel jets off to Cannes for MIPIM 2004

Dubai's unique property developer Nakheel, has this week sent a team of its top Executives to participate in the 15th annual MIPIM exhibition, being held in Cannes from 9 to 12 March.
Commenting on Nakheel's participation, Wahid Attalla, Director of Operations for Nakheel said, "MIPIM is one of the key international exhibitions for the real estate industry and cross border investment. We are therefore excited to be able to participate this year and showcase not only Nakheel's projects, but Dubai as a whole to the international investment community".
During the four-day exhibition, Attalla will also speak alongside a panel of international property experts on the topic of tourism development. Highlighting The Palm in particular, Attalla will discuss the uniqueness and ambition of the project, Dubai's tourism drive and the vast array of investment opportunities the project has delivered to both the local and international community.
Nakheel's stand at the exhibition will have a special focus on The Palm, The World and Jumeirah Islands projects. 3-D models and state-of-the-art video animations on the stand with assist the Nakheel Executives to promote the projects to the exhibition visitors.
The Palm project by Nakheel involves the creation of the world's two largest man-made islands in the shape of palm trees. Known as The Palm, Jumeriah and The Palm, Jebel Ali, these two islands will be located just off the coast of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and will create a large number of residential, leisure and tourism opportunities all within a unique and inspiring setting.
Further offshore from Dubai will be The World set to consist of a series of over 260 islands, positioned strategically to form the shape of the world map. It will be a haven for investors looking for exclusive and world-class real estate.
In contrast, Jumeirah Islands is an exciting new inland residential development comprising of a self-contained community of 50 man-made islands shaped and designed on 300 hectares of land. Crystal waterfalls, lush parks, walkway bridges, marinas and boathouses will enhance this residential community
