Organised by event management and marketing specialists, Streamline Marketing, Simply Woman is a new forum being introduced for all women, including working professionals, students, housewives and mothers and is specifically designed to cater to the needs, ambitions and concerns of both national and expatriate women in the region.

Announced at a press conference today - International Women's Day - the event will offer women a one-stop-shop for a vast array of information and services, from healthcare, careers, finance and family, to fashion, travel and sport. Simply Woman will take place on 29 and 30 November at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre and admission will be strictly for women only.

"Our aim is to give women a chance to gather under one roof and discover more about issues that affect them, discussing relevant topics in the privacy of a women-only environment," said Lucy d'Abo, Events Manager for Streamline Marketing.

"Simply Woman will be for women of all ages, whether they are working or not working, single, married, mothers or grandmothers."

"Education and entertainment will be combined in a showcase of fashion, arts, cookery, interactive displays, career seminars, inspirational speakers, educational issues and even real estate," d'Abo said.

Companies catering to the needs of women today will have the chance to showcase their products and services in one of the world's most affluent and high-spending regions. There are now more than seven million women in the GCC alone and Simply Woman offers participants an excellent opportunity to tap the massive purchasing power of this fast-growing, brand-conscious market.

Recent studies have shown that Gulf women spend $107 billion every year on cosmetics alone. Women also have an important influence over purchasing decisions, from children's education to buying and furnishing houses, to travel, healthcare and much more.

An integral part of Simply Woman is 'Simply Health', a dedicated platform for seminars, conferences and workshops addressing women's health issues and staged in partnership with Doctorinternet, an English and Arabic UK-based specialist online medical consultancy.

"With the proliferation of medical technologies targeting women's health issues, it is of the utmost importance for women in this region to have a full grasp of all treatments and procedures now available to them," said Dr. Hannah Alasam, Director, Doctorinternet.

"Simply Health is designed to enable women to make educated choices about their health by highlighting the most advanced and safest techniques in the important field of women's health."

A panel of female medical experts from Europe and the Middle East, including Dr Houriya Kazim - the region's leading Specialist Breast Surgeon, will be gathering under one roof to speak on a range of topics including breast cancer, infertility, skin care, plastic surgery, weight management, nutrition and healthy living. As with Simply Woman, Simply Health is aimed at consumers and will focus on medical products and services especially for women.

In line with the event's commitment to empower women, the organisers have also announced that 75% of all ticket revenue will be donated to women-related charities in the region. A single day pass will give women access to both Simply Woman and Simply Health, while the event will be open from 10am to 10pm daily.
