BKP has launched the first Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) facility between Dubai and Beirut.

The link enables - for the first time - real time digital voice recording of Arabic voice-over artists for commercials, documentaries and radio spots.

Said Kirsch: 'Many companies in Dubai have ISDN to Europe and the US. But no one so far has achieved a link between Dubai and another Middle Eastern country. We are very excited about the link. It means that we now have access to a whole new bank of voices for Dubai's commercial needs.'

ISDN compresses and decompresses sound. Users can dial up a number and direct voice-over artists in real time. Barry Kirsch Productions has established the link in an exclusive deal with Beirut based company, Eddy Jazra Audio Productions

'Dubai has a good selection of voices for commercials. But we have, for a long time now, needed to expand that base with the increased demand for more choice of Arabic voice talents from clients. We now have that opportunity,' added Kirsch.

New voices will be added to the recently launched website at wwww.bkpmusic.com. Clients will be able to audition voices from the increased audio bank or via CD or MP3 from the BKP studios.

As a professional sound-design facility, BKP has considerable experience in music composition for films, TV, sonic branding and commercials. Notably BKP composed the sonic branding for Emirates, now a fully identifiable sound around the world.

BKP offers three fully integrated 64 track facilities using industry standard pro-tools systems. For synch to picture sessions, BKP use digitized video enabling for fast spotting of sound effects and dialogue. The production house also boasts a magic box, used by all the top Hollywood sound designers.

Barry Kirsch is the holder of 25 international music awards and is an Emmy nominee for his film score for Richard Dreyfus, Prisoner of Honour. He is currently working on his first album of fusion songs and is actively involved in bringing copyright awareness in intellectual property to the region.
