Nationals interested in banking sector work
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, March 09 - 2004 at 13:46
- PRESS RELEASE
UAE Nationals are increasingly serious in finding employment opportunities in the banking sector and turned up in their droves at the National Career Exhibition for Banking & Financial Services which ends tomorrow.
Al Ali said that many of the interviewees were still students and showed particular interest in Mashreqbank's Core Time programme that enables them to continue their education while working for the bank on a part-time basis.
The bank also runs a fast track programme for graduates called Al Mashreq Al Emarati, which grooms candidates for senior management positions.
"Mashreqbank is very committed to recruiting Nationals at all levels within the bank and provides National recruits with extensive theoretical training as well as hands-on work experience at the bank's head office and 34 branches in all seven emirates," Hend Al Ali said.
She pointed out that in an organisation of Mashreqbank's size there are many career opportunities besides banking, ranging from Human Resources and Administration to Marketing, IT and Accounts.
"Whatever skill sets and aptitudes a person has, with the right training and guidance there is almost certainly a suitable position for them in Mashreqbank." concluded Hend Al Ali.
