Almasa IT Distribution - PC Storage, is a division of Almasa IT Distribution that provides fast and efficient leading storage products to resellers, retailers, assemblers and system integrators across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Channel relationships are developed through an attentive and highly focussed local sales force and supported by local logistics and RMA. PC Storage is specialised on the entire range of hard disk drives from 1" up to 3.5" and all types of consumer and personal storage. The complete range of PC storage solutions are provided at highly competitive prices made possible due to the state-of-the-art infrastructure supported by an efficient Dubai based back office operational headquarters.
Almasa IT Distribution is focusing on PC storage distribution following their EMEA distribution deal with Maxtor (NYSE:MXO). Didier Trassaert, Vice President, Maxtor EMEA was in Dubai to ink the deal with Mehdi Amjad, Managing Director at Almasa IT Distribution. Mr Trassaert announced at the press conference today that Almasa IT Distribution is one of the top 10 distributors world wide for Maxtor.
Mr. Mehdi Amjad, Managing Director at Almasa IT Distribution said, "Almasa IT Distribution's PC storage is targeting a first year sales of 2.5 million units. Unlike existing competitors we will not have European infrastructure, choosing to keep back office operations in the United Arab Emirates. This will provide considerable cost savings which we will pass on to the channel".
PC Storage will offer a one-stop-shop for all computer reseller and retailers PC storage needs, with quicker deliveries and more cost effective pricing than existing pan-European technology distribution companies. Utilising a mobile team of marketing agents equipped with state of the art mobile computing solutions for bookings and front end customer service, and Almasa IT Distribution's existing highly efficient and cost effective UAE based back office, the company have ambitious goals. Plans are already in place for further expansion into the Asian market.
Almasa IT Distribution's PC Storage range will include on the desktop from cost-effective, single-head, single-platter drives for entry-level PCs through high performance, multi-platter drives with capacities up to 300 GB. In the enterprise market solutions will include 10,000 and 15,000 RPM SCSI server drives. The product breadth will enable Almasa IT Distribution to serve a wide range of customer needs, leverage relationships and enhance economies of scale.
