- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, March 14 - 2004 at 13:47
- PRESS RELEASE
Alhamrani Universal Company (Universal), a supplier of creative strategies and solutions for the financial services and retail sectors in the Gulf region for over 20 years, will showcase its varied offerings in Dubai at Channels, a global banking strategy summit and exhibition being held from 25 to 28 April.
The machines also enable rapid deposit of bundled notes and coin, bill payment and currency exchange and carry the very latest physical and electronic security features.
The Diebold remote teller system, widely used for drive-up banking, has a video system and state-of-the-art air tube to allow tellers to operate securely in a separate location from the customer service point.
Universal operates a network of service centres throughout the Middle East, with 18 located in Saudi Arabia and one in UAE and more than 125 technical experts.
Through an alliance with Banctec, Universal provides cheque imaging and document management solutions that automate the capture, processing and archiving of paper and electronic forms.
Universal also obtained the distributorship of Hypercom's point of sale and network solutions. More than six million terminals worldwide rely on Hypercom's sophisticated, easy to use and highly reliable equipment.
Working together with leading industry players like Diebold, eKey, Lamson and Hi-Tron, Universal offers a range of biometrics solutions, CCTVs, digital video recorders, access control, fire and burglar alarm systems, vault doors, safes, safe deposit boxes and vacuum air transfer (point-to-point) systems.
Universal offers consultancy services for its clients in the financial services sector with the support of SSI, a major financial services consultancy firm that provides expertise in electronic securities architecture for stock exchange automation and internet trading systems, among others.
Channels will be held against a series of significant developments in the economic mechanisms of the Gulf region. A number of Gulf states, notably Bahrain and the UAE, have embarked on pushes to be major international financial players.
Among globalisation, profitability and technology subjects to be featured at Channels are multi-channel delivery strategies, banc-assurance, branding, product innovations and Islamic finance.
"It will be the banking industry's biggest event in Dubai this year and will be a unique forum that won't be afraid to deal with the thorniest issues," says event organizer, Cordelia Henry, Conference Director for IIR.
