- PRESS RELEASE
The Quest for Excellence conference that will be held tomorrow at the DCCI auditorium has generated a tremendous response among members of Dubai's business community, with over 450 people registering for the full day event.
"The BQF values its strategic relationship with the Dubai Quality Award Secretariat and looks forward to continuing and evolving this partnership from strength to strength," said Ray Wilkinson, Executive Director BQF, responsible for services provided to its Sponsor Members and a special guest at the conference. "Learning through the exchange of best practice is fundamental to organisations developing their capabilities and the Quest for Excellence Conference is one of the best examples of how that should be done well. It is tremendously motivational to see so much enthusiasm for the ethos of business excellence!" he added.
"The marvellous response to this conference is a measure of the extensive interest in excellence among the business community in Dubai," said Mr. Essa Kazim Co-ordinator General of Dubai Quality Award and the Director General of Dubai Financial Market. "It is gratifying to note that both government and business executives are taking advantage of the various initiatives and services being offered by the DED to support the sustainable development of Dubai. We hope this conference will also prove to be an appropriate launch pad for potential applicants for the Dubai Quality Award 2004," he added.
The conference is expected to generate a new wave of registrations from companies expressing interest to apply for the Dubai Quality Award 2004. The DQA secretariat will have a desk at the conference aimed at explaining the application process to those who are interested to know more.
