American Express signs up Carrefour in UAE

American Express and Carrefour in the UAE recently signed up an agreement for accepting American Express cards at all Carrefour Stores in the Country.
"The deal with Carrefour is a major expansion of American Express in the retail sector. Our Cards are accepted and welcome at all types of outlets, ranging from supermarkets to five star hotels", said Rasool Hujair, Regional Director of Gulf Countries and country head of American Express UAE. "The retail sector is one of the fastest growing for American Express at the moment.", he added. Hujair pointed that American Express is preparing a variety of special offers and exclusive deals for its Cardmembers shopping at Carrefour.
"We are delighted to welcome American Express Cards to our Stores", said Mr. Jacques Dome Chief Financial Officer - MAF Hypermarkets Carrefour. "The association with American Express is a valuable addition to our offer to the shoppers in UAE, allow the American Express Cardmembers to enjoy the unbeatable choice of items offered by Carrefour hypermarkets across the UAE."
