Although local entrepreneurs independently own McDonald's restaurants in the GCC, they regularly hold intensive meetings that augment their performance and enable them to share their experience. The meetings were attended by the owners of the restaurants, representatives from the McDonald's Middle East Development Company, as well as from Fortune Promoseven, their regional Advertising and PR Agency.

In a statement, Alsharif Abdallah Alluhaymaq, Marketing and Communications Director with the McDonald's Middle East Development Company said: "We are very proud of the success of the local McDonald's in the region, and from the fruitful coordination that they enjoy. Their efforts and achievements are a reflection of the work done on behalf of our customers in providing them with high quality foods, in a pleasant environment, while at the same time giving back to the communities they serve."

"McDonald's restaurants, which are owned and managed by local Arab entrepreneurs, have devoted considerable resources into developing their operations. This has included substantial start-up investments, the development of human resources, local supplier networks, nutrition initiatives, and extensive community relations." concluded Abdallah.

McDonald's restaurants serve over 47 million people every day in over 30,000 restaurants, in over 119 countries.
