Held in the sea side at the five-star Amathus Hotel, in Limassol, between 17th and 19th February, the three-day event was organized by Nicosia-headquartered interFRONTIERS, the Regional Business Development Unit of NEC CI and the Valued Added Distributors for BinTec Access Networks.

Under the working title 'Spreading Your Wings', the conference brought together partners from 14 countries from Europe, Africa and the Mid East. Representatives from channel partners from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Kuwait and Egypt got a detailed exposure on the NEC CI's company's strategic plan for 2004.

"The NEC CI strategy for 2004 is based on bringing high tech, value-added solutions to the region covered by interFRONTIERS", said Lenia Iacovides, Managing Director, interFRONTIERS. The conference included a series of presentations about NEC CI's global position, long-standing experience and extensive know-how in the fields of information solutions, networks and high technology products.

Mr Michel de Bievre stressed "Such gatherings where we meet our partners face to face and have the chance to mutually plan the year and exchange best practices are vital in building our relationships and business in the region. The 2004 strategy is build on solutions for both the business and consumer sector and partners had the opportunity to share with us this strategy"

NEC CI has been operating strategically within the region for just over two years and has achieved considerable market recognition in the corporate PC and server sectors. In KSA in particular, the brand has managed a 130% year-on-year increase in sales, through Computer Castle, the company's authorized Riyadh-based reseller. Together with Al Yousuf LLC, supplier of NEC computer and server technology in the UAE, the two channel partners have contributed substantially to the strong performance of the NEC CI brand in the Middle East.

During this conference BinTec Access Networks was also presented to partners, the German IP solutions provider was recently added to the interFRONTIERS client portfolio.
