Canon's revolutionary SmartBase MP390 launched at Comdex Jeddah

The product was debuted today at Comdex Jeddah exhibition, where Canon is currently showcasing through their Saudi partners El Ajou, the latest office equipment and high tech products for the home and business user.

"Comdex is an excellent platform to launch our products as it usually gathers a huge number of prospective Saudi customers. The SmartBase caters to all sorts of computer users: photographers can take pictures and print them out on the spot without having to sacrifice on colour quality because the SmartBase has the capacity to produce colours that can't even be found on the average desktop computers." said Michel Sabbagh, Marketing Manager at Canon Middle East. It's also programmed to automatically correct aspects like hue, exposure and saturation to ensure an accurate reproduction.

The SmartBase MP 390 is a stand-alone device with a single power source and comes with a high speed USB and is compatible with all brands of digital cameras.

For the business person who just doesn't have the time to be constantly supervising faxing and printing processes, this unit has a 200 page memory and 3 second per page fax transmission. This means that the SmartBase can be programmed and left for as long as overnight without needing the fear of it running out of paper. It has the capacity to produce 18 pages per minute in black and white and 12 pages per minute in colour.
