BenQ launches Joybook 6000 for Middle East's corporate community
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, March 16 - 2004 at 10:20
- PRESS RELEASE
BenQ, the region's leading digital lifestyle company, today announced the release of the latest addition to its popular Joybook range of laptop computers, the Joybook 6000.
The world's first 12.1-inch high definition wide-screen notebook computer, the Joybook 6000 incorporates long-life battery power, wireless Internet accessibility and easy projector attachment. Its lightweight and slim design makes it exceptionally portable, providing an ideal solution for professionals on the move.
"BenQ's unique approach to digital lifestyle technology has proved hugely popular in the Middle East. Extending our vision for digital hub products into the business sector is a natural step, and we are confident that professional customers will recognize the huge value that the Joybook 6000 can deliver," said Robert Dung, managing director, BenQ Middle East.
BenQ's vision for the "digital hub" envisions an environment when all forms of technology - hardware, software and drivers - are brought together without compatibility problems and with full integration.
While much of the company's efforts around the digital hub in the region have focused upon the home - enabling users to interlink entertainment options via the home computer - the Joybook 6000 offers an opportunity to import the concept into the office.
"The Joybook 6000 fulfils the requirements of busy professionals, equipped with advanced functionalities for the most demanding users. Its portability and interoperability means that it can function as the hub of any business professional's working life," Dung added.
The Joybook 6000's integrated wireless networking facility allows users to access the Internet whenever they are in the vicinity of a Wi-Fi hotspot. When users are unable to access hotspots, they can use the inbuilt Bluetooth or infrared IrDA to connect with a mobile phone and link to the Internet by GPRS data connection.
Other features include a refined front-end air intake ventilation system, which delivers superior cooling and stability.
BenQ's traditional attention to design gives users greater confidence that their computers are reliable, well-performing business tools. The BenQ Joybook 6000 incorporates a number of striking features, including an elevated screen design and an innovative battery connection, which allows users to adjust the positioning of the notebook when attached.
"BenQ's Joybook range has proved extremely success in the personal entertainment markets of the Middle East. Now, the Joybook 6000 offers high specifications and interoperability that business people in the Middle East require, and offers them the opportunity to import 'digital enjoyment' into the workplace," concluded Dung.
